Hosting conference and concluding MOU with Bình Định District Board of Health in Vietnam in connection with KOFIH medical health civil-government partnership project.
Cheju Halla University (president: Kim, Sung-Hun, Ph.D.) concluded MOU with Bình Định District Board of Health in Vietnam and hosted a conference to increase the capacity of nurses from the central part of Vietnam.

CHU was selected for KOFIHs (Korea Foundation for International Healthcare, president: Lee, Soo-Goo) 2013 civil-government partnership project for the first time in Jeju.
The projects includes TOT, Transmission, and hospital centered health improvement training at CHUs International development & cooperation support center (Head: prof. Kang, Sun-Joo) from October 2013 for about one year in association with Hue university of medicine and pharmacy which are intended to increase the capacity of nurses from the central part of Vietnam.
The pre study team (2 persons including prof. Kim, Tae-Min) was dispatched in early October for one week for feasibility study in Vietnam, and around 10 people were attended at the conference including Dr. Nguyen Van Cang(director of Bình Định District Board of Health), Dr. Duong Van Hoa (director of Poopong Hospital) , Dr. Manh Linh (who are currently taking part in Lee, Jong-ok fellowship at Inha Univ.) and several professors.
Topics for presentation and discussion was related to human resources status for nursing in Bình Định District, Korean governments ODA(Official Development Assistance) project, sharing information for CHUs project, and strategies for operating the project.
This event provided a good chance to CHU to promote its active participation for Korean government and KOFIHs ODA project and cooperate with health and medical service providers in Vietnam.
