CHU concluded academic-industry education agreement with Jeju high school and E-land park (Inc.).

 

□ Cheju Halla University (president: Kim, Sung-Hun, Ph.D.) concluded academic-industry education agreement with Jeju high school (Kang, Duk-Boo; principal) and E-land park (Inc.) (Park, Hyung-sik; head of catering service department) in December 19th (Thu) to activate employment-first-study-later system so that graduates from specialized high school can work while studying.

CHU was selected as a central university for employment-first-study-later by the ministry of Education, Science, and Technology since 2012 and changed its system so that the graduates from specialized high school who has adequate experience can enter our university regardless of allowed students number to help them do their work and study simultaneously.

 

The employment rate of Jeju high school is increasing every year after it has established employment support center to activate students’ employment and adopted employment supporter system so that graduates from the school can directly find a job instead of entering a university.

 

E-land park Ashley has 133 restaurants all over the country, 330 billion won sales each year and recorded 500% sales increase in recent five years. It opened Jeju restaurant in 2011 and planning to expand in the future.

 

Through this agreement, the graduates from Jeju high school which is one of a specialized high schools can enter Eland park right after their graduation and they can study at CHU continuously. This system enabled reciprocal cooperation among university, high school, and industry which can contribute to producing superior human resources and activating employment-first-study-later system.
