CHU was selected as a Superior University for Educational Capacity Strengthening project.
Cheju Halla University (president: Kim, Sung-Hun, Ph.D.) was selected as superior university among 80 colleges which were chosen for 2012 College Educational Capacity Strengthening project as a result of comprehensive evaluation. CHU is receiving 302.8 million KRW incentive on top of 4.35 billion KRW 2013 Educational Capacity Strengthening project government fund.

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology selected 12 colleges (4 in capital area, 8 in local area) from all colleges which were selected for Educational Capacity Strengthening project after evaluating their educational conditions and outcomes and distributes averagely 297 million KRW funds.
The background of CHUs selection as a superior college in this comprehensive evaluation for Educational Capacity Strengthening project were the objective evaluation on the outcomes of development and operation of global standard business training program based on CHUs long-term development plan.
As CHU has been selected for Educational Capacity Strengthening project five years in a row, CHU is planning to become a specialized university to match its status as WCC(World Class College) by operating various projects such as supporting scholarship, constructing educational environment, expanding advanced teaching equipment, developing practice-centered education system, and operating employment program to enhance its educational capacity and provide high quality educational service.
