Celebration of the 45^th Anniversary of CHU's Founding

-CHU celebrated the 45^th anniversary of the founding of the university on March 28, 2014, at the Keumho Building on CHU's campus.

- Cheju Nursing College was founded in 1969. The name was eventually change to Cheju Halla University. Among the many achievements of the university since its founding are its inclusion on the list of the nation's "World Class Colleges", its strong overseas employment programs, and academy-industry cooperation projects.

- CHU began to offer bachelor's degrees programs in 2013 and has since opened a new Department of Equine Science, which will contribute to making Jeju into Northeast Asia's leader of the horse industry.

- Kim Sung-hun, president of CHU, said in his opening remarks that "thanks to all the hard work of our committed teaching and administrative staff, we are becoming recognized as an outstanding brand-name university. In order to become even more competitive and continue developing further, it is necessary that we all continue to do our utmost.
