CHU's Professor Shin Euigyeong, director of the International Affairs Center, received a foreign student enrollment award from the Ministry of Education. She has been the director of the International Affairs Center since April 2009, and was awarded for her work in attracting and managing a large number of international students, developing a foreign student management system, searching out new sources of foreign students at overseas institutions, creating a foreign student attraction strategy and conducting research into model international cooperation agreements. Professor Shin said "I will continue to do my best to attract and maintain foreign students for CHU, and make contributions to Korea's only university to become truly globalized by establishing a strong management and attraction system." CHU received IEQAS certification in February 2014, and was designated by the Ministry of Education as a university slated to receive support for providing scholarships to foreign students.
