From April 3 to 5, 2015, CHU's Confucius Institute hosted the 2015 Halla China Film Festival, celebrating 6 years since the establishment of the institute at Cheju Halla University. This is the 4th installment of the festival, and included films showing Chinese culture, such as Agreement to Leave, Jingi Scan, Starry Night, Shanghai, Dongpungu and others. In addition to screening films, renowned Chinese scholars were invited to give speeches and presentations at the Confucius Institute Night. Professor Wang Risin of China's Nankai University spoke about The Meaning of the Value of Asia in a Global Era, and China's leading digital artist, Jang Wang, displayed works at a special exhibition. Musical performances were also on offer, in celebration of the 6th anniversary of the establishment of the Confucius Institute at CHU.
