Halla University held an opening ceremony of Chinese Cultural Center and Confucius Institute Directors’ Forum in Halla Convention Center located in Kumho World Education Building on November 02, 2015.

Celebrating the opening ceremony, the officials of Confucius Institute Headquarter, the President of Nankai University, China and the Consul of the People's Republic of China in Jeju have attended. Then, the directors of Confucius Institutes in Korea had 2015 Confucius Institute Directors’ Forum.

Confucius Institute at Cheju Halla University opened in 2009 and it is the 13^th institute that was accredited by Chinese government in Korea, and the first one in Jeju, not to speak of being the only junior college partner in Korea. In addition, the institute is offering the best Chinese language curriculum through a close partnership with Nankai University, one of the leading universities in China. It strives to develop and run various Chinese language and cultural programs, thanks to the financial support as well as excellent faculty provided by the Chinese government each year.
