Confucius Institute at CHU (President: Kim, Seong-Hun) hosted a ceremony to celebrate its 7^th anniversary on April 5^th, 2016. They had special lectures of guest speakers and a reception of ¡°Confucius Institute Night.¡±

The event was held in Convention Center at CHU and a guest speaker Pung Choon Tai, Chinese Consul General in Jeju gave an impressive lecture on <Northeast Asian Political and Economical Development and Major Country Relations>.

Then, the director of the institute, Shin Euigyeong and the assistant director, Wangjihui hosted ¡°Confucius Institute Night¡± which welcomed about 150 honorable guests such as Pung Choon Tai, Chinese Consul General in Jeju, staff and faculty members of CHU and students who have supported Confucius Institute.

Especially Liu Jibi, Chinese Vice-Consul in Jeju received a plaque of appreciation for his efforts to support CHU Confucius Institute and exchange between Jeju and China. Besides, awards were given to the winners of a drawing and a photograph contest in 2015 China Imagination Festival and their works were exhibited.

The 7^th anniversary ceremony showed CHU Confucius Institute was a world-class institute that deserved the title of ¡°Confucius Institute of the Year.¡± the institute declared its resolution to enhance CHU¡¯s global competence and cooperative exchange between Korea and China.
