Producing global horse experts based on the equine industry infrastructure of Jeju

The equine industry is considered a new growth engine industry of the 21st century in Korea. There are various occupations in this field with a wide range of industry possibilities. The value of a horse rises dramatically in proportion to the skill involved in its breeding and obedience training. Breeding and training horses are underlying skills for the equine industry and are quickly growing industries in Korea. The Department of Equine Resources Science offers students the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills in horse breeding and the scientific management and professional training of horses, which may be applied in various fields such as horseback riding, horse racing, horse experience tourism and rehabilitation.
