With its 43 years of history, the department of Nursing is the first and leading nursing educational institution in Jeju and has been developed to meet the demands of the world of tomorrow.

Since 2001, our department has focused on constructing global standard nursing education instead of traditional educational method in order to produce nursing professionals who have critical thinking ability, sense of cooperation, creativity, problem solving ability, and self-directed study ability by adopting and developing incorporated PBL(Problem Based Learning) curriculum.

Based on this, our department has acquired authentication on nursing education in February 2006 and has operated an advanced major course with a capacity of 30 students. In addition, we also has increased nursing community's global capacity through various fusion nursing educational programs such as S-PBL, and Core Skill-TLP.

In line with the founding ideals of Cheju Halla University, our philosophy of nursing education is to cultivate talented professionals who have a deep respect for human dignity and human rights and can maximize their ability through self-realization.

The purpose of nursing education is to produce professional nurses who have not only knowledge of global standard nursing enough to serve for patients' wellness and human race by forming well-rounded caring relationship based on a deep respect for human dignity and human rights but also practical skills for their work by developing creativity, a sense of cooperation and self-directed learning ability.
